BSI Products Services, the testing and certification division of the BSI Group, announce a deal which sees the prestigious BSI Kitemark expand its coverage within the fire products market.
Texecom Limited, one of the UK's premier manufacturers of commercial smoke and heat detectors has chosen to emphasise and underline the quality and safety of their products by submitting them for Kitemark certification through BSI This manufacturer will be the first to manufacture EN 54, Kitemark product for commercial fire alarm system applications

In the last year we have invested substantially in new test facilities attracting several high profile fire alarm panel manufacturers for Kitemark.
In order to offer manufacturers a complete service we added two smoke and heat tunnels and a reverberation chamber and now have full EN 54 testing capabilities.
Our commitment to the fire industry has ensured that for the first time a fully Kitemark certified fire alarm system can be specified."
