New revision for domestic water standard
BSI revised edition of BS 6700:2006 - Design, installation, testing and maintenance of services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages.

British Standards Institution (BSI) present the latest standards for Lift and Escalator Design, Installation and Maintenance.
The standard covers the system of pipes, fittings and connected appliances installed to supply any building, whether domestic or not, with water for drinking, culinary, domestic laundry, ablutionary, cleaning and sanitary purposes.
The standard deals only with low temperature systems - it does not cover systems that are designed to operate with steam or high temperature hot water and does not cover domestic central heating systems.
BS 6700:2006 supersedes BS 6700:1997 which has been withdrawn.
