Bosch's alarm panel receives VdS certification

Bosch Security Systems' Easy Series intrusion alarm panel is the first to receive certification to the VdS Home standard.

VdS is an accredited German laboratory and certifier renowned for maintaining the highest quality standards.

The laboratory was deeply involved in the development of the EN 50131 intruder and hold-up alarm systems standard and many countries recognise VdS as the accepted standard for intrusion alarm systems.

VdS Home is a new standard for regulating the requirements of intrusion alarm systems for low-risk applications especially for private homes.

The aim of the standard is to promote the development of affordable intrusion alarm systems, to enable more private homes to be equipped with an intrusion alarm.

The target is also to maintain a high level of security and quality, meeting stringent requirements defined and tested by one of the most recognised laboratories and certifiers in Europe.

Intended for homes and small businesses, Bosch's Easy Series intrusion alarm panels provide enhanced security against break-ins and unauthorised entry and are designed for easy installation, set-up and operation.

To operate the panel, it is only necessary to use a proximity token or press a single button.

In addition, the panel features a display with easy-to-understand animations completely free of text.

The system also communicates with spoken voice in the user's own language (more than 30 languages available), providing alarm and system status information - even remotely over the telephone or via text messaging to a user's cell phone.

Since its introduction, the Easy Series has received several international awards and the fact that the Easy series is the first to be certified to the new VdS Home standard provides further confirmation of the highest levels of security and quality the Easy series provides.
