Building Schools Exhibition and Conference (BSEC) announce that Jim Knight, Minister for Schools and Learners, and TV favourite Johnny Ball will be delivering keynote presentations at BSEC 2009.

BSEC 2009, to be held at Manchester Central from 11-12 February.

Jim Knight MP will be using the conference to announce the new national programme for Waves 7-15 of Building Schools for the Future early in 2009.

Johnny Ball, the much-loved populariser of science and maths and Becta's next generation learning ambassador, will present his thoughts on the importance of science in education, future teaching methods and the ideal learning environment for the next generation to reach its full potential.

Other highlights from the comprehensive conference programme include BSEC chairman Professor Stephen Heppell, ceo HEPPELL.NET, Tim Byles, chief executive, Partnership for Schools and Sir John Sorrell, founder of The Sorrell Foundation.

BSEC is the only event of its kind and addresses all the major issues surrounding the roll out of Britain's school newbuild and refurbishment programmes.

The highly popular conference programme is one of the most extensive within the sector, attracting local authorities, contractors, architects, headteachers, school governors and ICT professionals.

For anyone working within the education sector it is quite simply - unmissable.
