The British Blind and Shutter Association (BBSA) has announced the publication of a booklet entitled, "A Guide to Safe Working Practices".

The BBSA represents over 360 of the leading suppliers, manufacturers installers of internal and external blinds, awnings, shutters and grilles in the UK The booklet is for use by the staff of BBSA member companies and has been compiled to draw attention to hazards at work and highlight safe working procedures

Amongst the many subjects it covers are: * Use of machinery Working at heights * Use of vehicles Working with power tools * First aid * Personal protective equipment * Manual handling * Fire precautions The Guide provides an invaluable tool for BBSA members and their staff and encourages safe working practices both on and off site.
