Bahrain Training Institute and the British Safety Council launch international diplomas on safety and environment management.
The Bahrain Training Institute is delighted to announce a new agreement with British Safety Council for the provision of its health, safety and environmental qualifications in Bahrain The arrangement was formally signed on August 4 2007 at BTI's Headquarters on behalf of BTI by its Director, Mr Hameed Saleh, and on behalf of British Safety Council, by its Acting CEO, Mr Jonathan Bramsdon

British Safety Council working to lighten the load
The British Safety Council is supporting the Europe-wide campaign to tackle common workplace injuries which bring misery to millions of people.
"We are pleased that the British Safety Council has selected BTI to exclusively deliver its safety and environmental training programmes in the Kingdom of Bahrain".
"This enhances our reputation as a centre of excellence and a strategic partner for many leading health and safety organisations", said Mr Hameed Saleh.
Mr Bramsdon commented, "As we expand our qualifications around the GCC, we are delighted to formalise this partnership with a premium training organisation such as BTI.
This agreement allows us to demonstrate our support to Bahraini industry and the professional development of its Nationals".
The Head of Health, Safety and Environment Division at BTI, Mr Ali Yaqoob, said "most accidents are attributed to human failure and it is therefore essential to make people aware of their responsibilities through education and training".
"We believe the introduction of BSC qualifications will not only provide the Kingdom with well-trained safety and environmental professionals, but will also meet the needs of many businesses and organisations which strive to have their safety and environmental policies conform to international standards".
The International Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (6 wks) and the International Diploma in Environmental Management (3 wks) are due to commence at the Institute from early next year.
Both diplomas are internationally recognised and accredited by IOSH and IEMA respectively.
