Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Sep 25, 2008

As part of its ongoing campaign to ensure the safety of young people at work, the British Safety Council (BSC) will sponsor this year's National Work Experience and Work-Related Learning Conference.

Organised by the Centre for Education and Industry (CEI), the Conference in November will focus on economic well-being and its impact upon work experience and work-related learning.

The BSC will be running workshops to promote its free health and safety qualification for all 14-19 year olds in full-time education.

Over 1,500 schools have already registered for the BSC Entry Level Award in Workplace Hazard Awareness which aims to teach youngsters basic health and safety before they embark on work experience or their first job.
