Burlington natural slate roofing for restoration
Natural slate roofing supplied by Burlington plays significant role in restoration of one of Dundee's oldest schools - the Morgan Academy.
Meanwhile Burlington's mid-green Broughton Moor stone is featured extensively within the hotel's new luxury Mayfair Health Spa.
As well as flooring, the honed stone has been used throughout the changing rooms and wet rooms, and to create shelving within the treatment rooms.
The same stone also serves to create a backdrop of wall cladding for an outstanding water feature.
Burlington's Broughton Moor stone has also been used to create a striking entrance at the Radisson Edwardian Sussex hotel - located by London's famous Marble Arch - where it features as flooring within the reception area.
Commenting on the specification of Burlington stone throughout these two hotels, Michael Attenborough, Head of Design at Radisson Edwardian, said: "The superior quality and clean, contemporary style of Burlington stone made it an obvious choice as a finishing material for these two projects".
"As well as making a striking design feature, this stone exudes an air of luxury that is perfect for our discerning clientele".
Burlington Slate's Managing Director, Malcolm Hatch, comments: "We are delighted to be associated with Radisson Edwardian".
"In addition to the stone's obvious natural beauty, its durability and technical properties serve to align it to the hotel environment where functionality and low maintenance are key issues".
"Not only is there no colour fading with our natural stone, it can withstand the rigours of normal cleaning and, more importantly for spa areas, it is resistant to water damage".
In addition to Broughton Moor and Brandy Crag, Burlington's stone is available in three other different colour-ways: Elterwater - pale green; Bursting Stone - olive green and Kirkby - blue/grey.
All have their own unique appeal and sometimes feature contrasting veins and unique markings that further add to the character of the stone.
