BAL, tile adhesive and grout, has further enhanced its reputation for pioneering product development following a recent award for 'Best new innovation' at the prestigious TTA Awards.

BAL builds on heritage of innovation with latest industry accolade BAL, the premier professional tile adhesive and grout brand, has further enhanced its reputation for pioneering product development following a recent award for 'Best new innovation' at the prestigious TTA Awards.

It was BAL's new sound dampening tile adhesive, BAL Acousti-Bond that walked away with the prize during the high-profile award ceremony held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Upon receiving the award, BAL's Chief Chemist David Longwell commented: "Everyone at BAL is very proud to have received this award for the new BAL Acousti-Bond product".

"We have always been committed to maintaining BAL's reputation for an innovative and pioneering product range, and to receive this wider recognition from The Tile Association for our achievements with Acousti-Bond is a great honour".

The Acousti-Bond product was developed by BAL's in-house research and development team; a team boasting over forty years of experience in the evolution of tiling products.

Used in conjunction with Regupol 4515 acoustic matting, the Acousti-Bond system is independently proven to offer a 17decibel reduction in impact noise, essential in helping environments to meet the recently introduced criteria for noise levels in residential apartment buildings.

Paul Rushman, Technical Director for BAL commented: "The new tiling and hard flooring acoustic regulations for apartments and flats has meant that sound levels have become a major issue for property developers".

"As such, we wanted to create a product that allayed the fears of developers and provided a guaranteed solution".

"Following a rigorous trial programme at BAL, we had the system independently tested to confirm our results." He added.

Although only recently launched at Expotile in January, Acousti-Bond has already been specified and utilised across a range of high-profile developments.
