BMF tackles industry issues
BMF's drive to tackle key issues that affect members in their day-to-day businesses.
The latest topical focus group meeting, held by the Builders Merchants Federation (BMF), highlighted recent energy price increases made by utility companies in response to significant rises in wholesale gas and electricity costs These increases will affect suppliers' margins unless they in turn are passed on to the customers

The latest was a joint roofing materials and timber and panel products focus group led by Tony Hodge of Jackson Building Centres and hosted by Marley Eternit at their Keele facility.
At the meeting, BMF Chairman, Kevin Cubbage explained how the BMF is placing increased emphasis on product support, specifically with the introduction of a series of best practice guides that will raise standards industry-wide.
BMF Chairman, Kevin Cubbage said: "It is vital that the Federation addresses concerns that directly affect our members and these product support groups offer a practical forum to implement best practice.".
