Chris Pateman appointed BMF MD

BMF Board announce the appointment of Chris Pateman as Managing Director.

The BMF Board to announce the appointment of Chris Pateman as Managing Director.

Chris is well known throughout the builders merchant industry.

He joins the BMF from United Merchants plc (Unimer), where he spent five years as commercial director.

Prior to that, he was the long-standing editor of the BMJ.

Commenting on the appointment, Kevin Cubbage said: "The BMF Board was determined to find the right person to lead the organisation in its new direction, and to take on what is a very different role to that previously undertaken".

"Chris Pateman's knowledge and experience of the merchant industry is second to none, and we are delighted that he will be joining us".

Chris will be taking up his new appointment on 2nd January 2007.
