Builders Merchants Federation and sponsor MOL are inviting entries for their annual MasterMerchant adventure challenge.

Can your staff pull together to compete in the ultimate mental and physical test?.

The Builders Merchants Federation (BMF) and sponsor MOL are inviting entries for their annual MasterMerchant adventure challenge, which tests mental, physical and team building skills to the maximum.

Designed as a fun team-building exercise the MasterMerchant challenge takes place over a weekend, where teams battle it out in a series of activities from abseiling through to code-breaking and is designed to test each team's creative and practical skills.

The competition is open to any company in the building supplies industry - if they think they are tough enough to survive the challenges.

Gerry Childs and his team at Brett Landscaping won in 2006 and became the first supplier company to win the event.

He said: "We finished second the previous year, so it was fantastic to win".

"We were better prepared and had an idea of what types of challenges to expect".

"One member of our team even lost a stone in weight to help him compete in some of the more physically demanding tasks".

"The MasterMerchant challenge is a great way to meet people and establish new business contacts".

"I would encourage other merchants and suppliers to take part in this fun and action packed event".

Teams of four can enter the heats, which will be held in Yorkshire on 15th- 17th June and 13th-15th July 2007.

The top three teams from each event will go through to the final in the Lake District in August.
