Shedding light on learning
Glidevale Sunscoop tubular rooflights provide natural daylight into a first floor corridor which otherwise would have artificial light only.
Delegation helps ensure compliance for home
To help ensure compliance with all appropriate Building Regulations, AMA Design called in Glidevale to design the roof ventilation.
The insulation has a GWP(Global Warming Potential) rating of less than 5 and is zero ozone depleting, meeting the credit requirement for the BREEAM EcoHomes environmental rating.
The rigid insulation helps provide continuity of thermal insulation at ceiling level, substantially reducing heat loss through the ceiling.
Vapour seals built into the loft traps effectively stop water vapour entering the loft space via the trap between the frame and ceiling, and the lid and frame reducing condensation risk.
The traps also exceed the air tightness requirements laid down in Parts L1 and L2.
Easy to install, the brilliant white, scuff resistant traps are designed to exceed NHBC minimum opening requirements.
The range includes options of push up or hinge-down opening, both featuring a turnbuckle latch mechanism.
An optional aluminium loft ladder for use with the hinge-down version provides simple loft access.
Additionally, key operated lockable versions provides security in tenanted property or public areas.
Other loft access traps in the Glidevale range can be specified to provide up to 60 or 30 minute fire resistance and Class O surface spread of flame.
