Solar LED lights from Carmanah Technologies have been installed to reduce energy consumption of outdoor car parks in Arizona.

A global equipment designer and manufacturer selected RC Lurie Company of Southern Arizona, Carmanah's authorised representative for the region, to supply Evergen 1520 solar powered LED lights.

Evergen 1520 lights are designed for large scale outdoor applications.

The wireless stand-alone lights provide a reliable source of uniform light without the need for trenching, cabling or grid access.

The light features the Ledway lighting fixture by Betaled.

Evergen 1520 lights meet the requirments of IESNA (Illuminating Engineering Society of North America) guidelines and the City of Tucson and Pima County's outdoor lighting guidelines to limit light pollution.

The guidelines were set in place to protect the area's dark night time sky for the residents and for the astronomy industry.

A cut-off feature lends itself to these requirements and reduces glare, spillover and sky glow.
