Shiplap wood effect alternative to real timber
Cadre Components offer their latest Shiplap Wood Effect addition - a modern and cost effective alternative to real timber.
Although it may seem like heresy, Cadre Components have a challenging question for all timber merchants - do you or would you stock a modern alternative to real timber?.
Cadre Components offers just that in their latest Shiplap Wood Effect addition - a modern and cost effective alternative.
As more and more house builders and general builders look to meeting home owners demands for a long life, maintenance free exterior, Cadre Shiplap meets this requirement too.
Its not so long ago that the great majority of windows were timber but PVC now rules the roost - and Cadre Shiplap is set to follow this example.
Cadre Shiplap is a high quality, foiled shiplap wood effect that offers the longlife benefits of ABS combined with a realistic woodgrain textured effect.
It is particularly suited to the refurbishment of deteriorating external facades and for the exteriors of pre-fabricated timber framed buildings.
It gives an authentic wood look and is offered from stock in a number of plain colours and woodgrain finishes, including golden oak and acacia.
A wider range of RAL colours and other woodgrain finishes are also available to special order, so that it can be used for virtually any application as a cost effective alternative to wood itself.
As with other cladding products in the Cadre range, fixing is simple, quick and easy together with an opportunity to eliminate damp and incorporate thermal insulation without the need to treat the existing masonry.
Cadre Shiplap complements existing materials or can provide a change of appearance.
It has high impact strength yet is light enough for easy handling and fixing.
Supplied in 6m lengths, Cadre shiplap planks have a 150mm surface width and provide a high quality, cost efficient alternative for virtually any application where wood is traditionally used for a decorative finished look.
Timber merchants may well be called on to supply this modern day version which combines the look of wood with long life, maintenance free benefits.
It could soon be an essential part of every timber merchants stockholding.
