Capitoline new data centre audit service

A Capitoline LLP product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 21, 2006

Capitoline LLP, an I.T.physical infrastructure design consultancy, has introduced a new fixed price data centre and computer room audit.

Most I.T.managers and facilities managers responsible for computer rooms know they have a problem somewhere in their physical infrastructure.

It might be hotspots in the equipment racks, inadequate air conditioning, inadequate power supplies, poorly laid out or located equipment racks or archaic (and anarchic) data cabling.

The benefit of a one-day audit is that all these problem areas can be identified and a plan put forward to address these problems and identify future upgrade and expansion paths.

The one-day audit will address all the key areas of power supplies, air-conditioning, rack location and layout, data cabling, security, fire detection and suppression.

A full report will be issued to identify the computer room's TIA 942 Tier rating in terms of resilience against single points of failure.

The capabilities of other areas will be judged against the relevant British and European standards plus British Building regulations and EU Directives.

More details are available at www.capitoline.co.uk Capitoline is a new kind of consultancy that brings professional engineering expertise to focus on the design and implementation issues relating to all of the physical layer engineering requirements of today's construction projects.

Capitoline will reduce costs and improve the efficiency of IT and related infrastructure projects by using the benefits of IP technology to provide a common platform to support all intelligent building projects.
