Catnic has appointed three new directors to the board in a re-organisation programme that coincides with the company's consolidation to a single site later this year.

Terry Churchill has been appointed Sales Director, with Huw Samuel as Operations Director and John Pryer as Commercial Director Having left Catnic as National Sales Manager three years ago, Terry already has an in-depth knowledge of the company and is responsible for the co-ordination of the sales team in the UK and abroad

"My aim is to ensure that Catnic grows through both its core product and new product ranges," he says.

"We are launching new products into the lintel and building product markets and I relish the return to Catnic to help improve the strength of the brand names." John Pryer brings with him a wealth of experience gained from many years in the construction and structural steel sectors.

His main areas of responsibility in his new role are technical services, product development and marketing.

"I am keen to ensure that these departments provide a first class service to both their internal and external customers," he comments.

"With the consolidation of our existing two sites to a single location, my responsibility is ensuring that Catnic maximises the commercial opportunities this presents." Huw Samuel's appointment as Operations Director completes the triumvirate.

With a background in lean manufacturing at Corus, Huw's aim is to improve the effectiveness of the manufacturing and engineering divisions at Catnic.

"This involves close examination of the supply chain and the logistical operations of the company," comments Huw.

"The removal of all waste from the manufacturing process and other parts of the supply chain are integral in the future productivity of Catnic." All three new members of the board view their roles as a welcome challenge and look forward to a long and mutually beneficial association with the country's leading manufacturer of lintels and building products.
