Catnic Launches CAD Database
Catnic has launched its most recent Fastrack CAD Database on CD-ROM aimed at assisting architects and specifiers in the creation or modification of project documentation.
Paul was given five days to create a new community centre for Barlborough, converting an old two-room Victorian School in the heart of the village, which had fallen into complete disrepair.
The plans called for the main classroom to be converted into a theatre and youth group room; the second classroom into a modern Internet cafe; the lobby into a coffee bar and the neglected exterior into an outdoor piazza.
In total, the value of the work is estimated at over GBP120,000.

Builders Have Catnic In Their Pockets
Catnic, leading manufacturer of lintels and building components, has a new Lintel Pocket Guide, designed with the particular needs of its builder customers in mind.
Completing his challenge, with a little help from some of his old school friends that he was reunited with on the show, Paul had no money, could not use his own funds or even call on the help of any celebrity friends.
The challenge for Paul and his friends was to blag all the building materials, gardening supplies, furnishings and extra help for free, and to work long hard hours in unpredictable weather conditions to complete their seemingly impossible tasks.
Finally, Paul and his friends had to arrange a garden party, complete with a local brass band, to help celebrate the opening of the village's new community centre.
Catnic came to the help of Paul and his friends by donating ten lintels to help in the creation of the community centre development.
The company's technical team assessed the needs of the project and specified Catnic's Internal Solid Wall Lintels, in a number of lengths.
The lintels were used for the internal partitions and load bearing walls within the school.
These particular lintels are designed to suit both brick and block course heights and were specified for their ability to support heavier loads and wider openings.
The box profiles lintels are manufactured from galvanised steel with the additional famous black polyester powder coating.
The coating on the lintels forms Catnic's Duplex corrosion protection to ensure optimum durability and longevity.
Catnic also manufacturers and distributes a range of plasterers' profiles and Qwikpost the easy to use fence post support system.
More recently the building specialist has been distributing, through its extensive network of builders merchants in the UK, its Lightweight roofing profiles and Brikmat, the innovative brick spacing system set to revolutionise bricklaying.
