Underneath The Arches
When buildings require a more unconventional support solution, Catnic has the expertise to design and manufacture special and fabricated lintels to suit a variety of shapes and sizes.
The slabs are formed using CF 100 deck profiles acting compositely with light or normal weight concrete.
The Datum structural flooring system is a BBA certified product and comprises, 100mm profiled steel decking with polystyrene insulation to the underside and a poured concrete slab over.
The profiled decking spans between support walls on perimeter steel beams and/or internal steel sections.
Additionally, the profile can be used as continuous over internal masonry supports.
The software covers a wide range of loading/geometrical configurations and unequal double spans can be analysed.
The Steel Construction Institute has worked closely with Catnic, in the development of this flooring system as well as in the preparation of the software.
Catnic Datum is the result of collaborative effort between Catnic and Corus Panels and Profiles, the license owner of Comdek software.
The Datum software is being issued by Catnic as Catnic Datum Version 1.
