NBG members will benefit from Catnic's comprehensive product range of steel and PVCU plasterers' beads, expanded metal mesh, metal lath, formwork mesh, soffit vent mesh and the recently launched security mesh, Securamesh.

By stocking a range of such products the merchant customer can draw from an additional revenue stream, through the interest and branch footfall created in a wider product offer.

The products are all underpinned by the strength of the Catnic brand, itself a leader in the market, with a tried and trusted reputation throughout the trade sector.

Product development is key and Catnic constantly invests in continuous improvement to ensure that its products are the best available.

Technical expertise and product advice are key to this, so merchant sales staff can be sure that the right information is to hand.

Catnic also provides merchant staff training, enabling them to confidently pass on valuable knowledge to their own customers; something many trade professionals will return to the same branch time and again to receive.

Offering a superior delivery service, with a 97 per cent 'on time in full' record in 2009, Catnic has arguably one of the best services in the industry.

An electronic data interchange means that orders and payments can be processed smoothly, accurately and quickly, removing the headache for merchants.

Driving interest in sales by pushing customers through the door is something Catnic invests time and money to achieve for the mutual benefit of the merchant and its own business.

The recently launched Catnic: Make it Happen campaign is one example of the rigorous approach to advertising, marketing and PR activities designed to drive end user interest and raise awareness of products and services.

Catnic works with its merchant customers to formulate joint strategies to generate sales.

Sale Leads are routed through the nearest local merchant branch and Merchant stockists are easy to locate through Catnic's own online stockist locator tool.

Trade professionals are engaged once at the branch too.

Point of sale materials, merchandising, brochures and local event support all serve to push the sale of Catnic products.

The National Buying Group for independent builders merchants has 80 member companies comprising of 246 outlets nationwide.

With a collective turnover of GBP750million NBG is one of the largest buying groups in the UK.
