Tube Lines Selects Causeway Technologies

Causeway Collaboration, has been selected by Tube Lines to support its upgrade of the infrastructure on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly (JNP) lines on the London Underground.

For Project Collaboration Tool Causeway Technologies (NQBS: CAUS), a leading supplier of collaborative, commercial and supply chain solutions to the global construction industry today announces that Causeway Collaboration, has been selected by Tube Lines to support its upgrade of the infrastructure on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly (JNP) lines on the London Underground.

Tube Lines has committed to upgrade 97 of the 100 stations on the JNP lines within the first seven-and-a-half years.

This forms part of a total investment of £4.4 billion.

Tube Lines will use Causeway Collaboration, which is based on Open Text's market-leading team-collaboration and document management solution, Livelink under an initial two-year contract to manage the flow of information for its station modernisation programme.

Commenting on the web-based tool, Craig McFarlane, Station's Project Manager for Tube Lines says, "Upgrading 97% of the stations on the JNP lines within the first seven-and-a-half years is a priority for Tube Lines.

We are investing around £0.5 billion to improve the travelling environment for passengers and enhancing communications, fire protection and security systems through the station modernisation programme." "To deliver this massive improvements programme efficiently, we needed a tool that would enable Tube Lines to maintain a consistent and effective approach to project management and to recognise the benefits of timely and controlled exchanges of information at all stages of each project.
