HBG Construction signs up with Causeway
HBG Construction signs up with Causeway for industry's largest 'enterprise' project and collaboration contract.
Causeway Technologies, a leading supplier of collaborative, commercial and supply-chain software solutions to the construction industry, has signed an agreement with HBG Construction for more than 7,000 user licences of Causeway Collaboration.
Causeway claims this contract represents the largest ever roll-out of a project collaboration and enterprise content management solution in the UK construction industry.
HBG Construction is the latest major contractor to adopt knowledge management tools for projects and content across the enterprise and supply chain.
This win strengthens Causeway's primary position in the construction industry as the only supplier to offer both a hosted service and enterprise software solution in a single product.
Causeway's easy-to-use solution will now be deployed throughout HBG Construction's complete supply chain - from secretarial and purchasing, through CAD and project management, to financial control and board-level reporting.
Furthermore, Causeway's flexible licensing policy means that HBG Construction is able to extend the use of Causeway Collaboration beyond the typical project-by-project approach of similar systems.
The contract is further endorsement of Causeway Collaboration, developed in close cooperation with clients, and built on the highly-acclaimed content management and collaboration platform from technology partner OpenText.
"We are a progressive user of IT to support our business processes and to ensure that we can meet our clients needs for today and the future," commented Martyn Waller, Head of IT, HBG Construction.
"The Causeway system, alongside the implementation of SAP, enhances our ability and sets our strategy for years to come.
Collaboration is the future and Causeway has proven to us it has the best system and it will be part of the new and challenging future." Based on a world-class implementation methodology, Causeway Collaboration has been designed to be simple to deploy and use, with a powerful knowledge search engine that searches through all knowledge and not just documents.
Causeway Collaboration also boasts more connectors and integration features than any other vendor - including support for applications such as SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, Documentum and Filenet.
Phil Brown, Causeway's CEO, said: "HBG is one of the companies that worked with Causeway while the product was under development.
Its decision to deploy Causeway Collaboration business-wide, follows the success of an early pilot programme.
The investment in this technology supports HBG's pre-eminent position within the industry, by empowering its people through shared knowledge and strengthening client and supply chain relationships.".
