In timber frame construction it is of paramount importance the framing is secured at slab level in a manner that isolates it from dampness.

In timber frame construction it is of paramount importance the framing is secured at slab level in a manner that isolates it from dampness.

The requirement is clearly defined within the NHBC Standards 6.2 (External Timber Framed Walls).

Cavity Trays of Yeovil has commenced supplying preformed L-shaped damp course profiles that ensure the framing is adequately and uniformly protected at this important junction.

The preformed profiles can be attached to the framing in the factory or on site, as unlike conventional dpc material the robust profiles are not easily damaged or dislodged.

Cavity Trays produces the L-shaped profiles in all dimensions, permitting the specifier to select the ideal protective shape to suit the project.
