Cavity Trays of Yeovil announce a new product specifically designed to simplify, reduce and speed up the work involved in creating a party wall between dwellings.

The new product is called the Type GBPWIS (Ground Bearing Party Wall Insulating System).

Use of the product eliminates the need of temporary formwork, creates a cavity and provides party wall slab insulation with dpc corroboration.

When secured in place centrally along the line of the party wall between semi-detached / adjoining units, it permits the oversite concrete to be laid without the need of temporary formwork or masonry.

The Type GBPWIS is enveloped within the construction and additionally provides slab edge dpc corroboration with cavity insulation infill.

The system is available to suit all cavity widths and slab thicknesses.

Insulation format and channel options can be varied upon request to permit partial or full removal of the infilling insulation whilst maintaining a channel status at all times between units.

The channel safeguards against spillage or internal flooding from one unit to another, as outlined in the requirements of the NHBC Standards.

The Type GBPWIS is one of a range of new products being released by Cavity Trays of Yeovil to address the latest Building Regulations and to promote robust compliant construction details.

Manufactured from pethyleyne black dpc 2mm, and supplied in 2400mm lengths.

Polystyrene or zero ODP urethane insulation options.
