CCG completes GBP6.4 million housing development at North Possil one year ahead of schedule
CCG, one of Scotland's largest privately owned construction companies, has completed a GBP6.4 million new build housing development at North Possil for North Glasgow Housing Association one year ahead of schedule The development of 84 new homes for rent, comprising 72 family homes and 12 special needs homes, replaces outmoded tenemental properties with high quality, low-rise homes with private gardens

Funded by Glasgow City Council with assistance from Scottish Enterprise Glasgow to deal with poor ground conditions, the development includes a Digital Integrated Reception System which provides tenants with free broadband access and their own e-mail address, as well as freeview digital TV and radio channels.

Director of North Glasgow Housing Association, Robert Tamburrini, said, "We gave a commitment to transferring residents that those who wanted a new build house would have one within seven years of voting to transfer control of their homes from Glasgow City Council to the Association.
The completion of phase four in partnership with CCG means we have delivered one year ahead of schedule.
But this development is about more than just bricks and mortar.
It is about people and it does not end here.
Our commitment to physical and social regeneration continues".
The development at North Possil marks the fourth phase of partnership between CCG and North Glasgow Housing Association.
In total, 193 houses have been delivered over the four phases allowing the entire North Possil Community to be re-housed in brand new homes - one year ahead of schedule.
The total housing investment in North Possil since April 1999 is GBP17.2 million.
CCG is currently on site on the adjacent Bardowie Street project where North Glasgow Housing Association is providing specialist care facilities for the Mungo Foundation.
