Ceram gives Koramic the thumbs up
Koramic turned to CERAM to ensure that its clay roof tiles meet the critical performance criteria required under the European standard BS EN 1304:2005.
Major European clay roof tile manufacturer Koramic, part of Wienerberger, turned to CERAM to ensure that its clay roof tiles meet the critical performance criteria required under the European standard BS EN 1304:2005.
CERAM's Building Technology Division (CBT) put Koramic's products through the rigorous tests at its UK headquarters in Stoke-on-Trent where it was able to put its 50 years experience to work in ensuring that they measure up to the very high standards required today.
They were pleased to be able to report back that all of Koramic's products met and, in some cases, surpassed these standards.
The tests also revealed that Koramic's products meet the UK requirements for regularity of shape, dimensions, impermeability, frost resistance and flexural strength.
Delighted with the results of the tests, Koramic's national sales director Martin Fewtrell commented; "These test results give our customers the extra assurance that our products do meet the UK performance criteria".
"They also underline the success of our commitment to strict quality control procedures at our European manufacturing plants".
CERAM is the internationally renowned centre of technical excellence for the ceramics and other materials based industries and as well as being able to offer its customers experienced experts, it is UKAS accredited, enabling it to offer independent and unbiased testing services.
