The Centre for Alternative Technology is to promote Eco-building at the Homebuilding and Renovation show.

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is taking part in the 'Green Village' at the Homebuilding and Renovation show at the Birmingham NEC from the 4th to the 7th of March.

CAT will be promoting its unique range of informative and accessible publications, including, 'The Whole House' book, which has become the bible for eco-building and renovation.

'The Whole House' co-author Cindy Harris will be making an appearance in the Green Village to talk about sustainable building techniques.

If you would like to learn more from CAT's experts, there will be the opportunity to enrol on one of CAT's established and custom-made residential courses, which will give you the knowledge and practical experience to carry out your own projects.

The courses include eco design and construction, building with timber, earth and straw, and using natural paints and finishes.

The CAT Mail Order service will also be at the show, profiling some of their best-selling environmental products, including the Savaplug, a 13 amp 3 pin plug which gives an effective energy saving on fridge-freezers and freezers by matching the electricity supply to the motor's needs.
