Ipswich Borough Homes paves the way in public sector 'partnering' with Celuform.

To celebrate the opening of a new site office and storage facility, Ipswich Borough Homes and Ipswich Borough Contracts invited partner suppliers, councillors and tenants' representatives to see the new premises and discuss partnering agreements.

The UK's leading PVC-ue building products supplier, Celuform, will supply all roofline and cladding products during the six year partnership to meet the Ipswich Standard that sets to improve the efficiency of the maintenance of public sector housing in the area.

"This working partnership means that decisions and plans can be made more effectively for the future," said Doug Walden, Senior Surveyor at Ipswich Borough Homes.

"We know what works are planned and where, plus our suppliers know which products are needed over the six year planned maintenance term".

"Maintenance is organised on a tight timescale and this new working partnership makes organising that so much easier," he continued.

"Sustainability was a big factor in choosing Celuform products, especially as limited maintenance means a substantial cost saving when compared to timber installations".

"In addition, we have never had one complaint about a Celuform product - and that's unheard of in this business," he added.

Celuform will be supplying Ipswich Borough Home with the Vanquish range of fascias.

This 15mm board incorporates DuoShield, which gives an enhanced strength when compared with a conventional co-extruded board of the same thickness.

To go with the fascia will be 8mm vented multi-purpose board.

Using this board with pre-cut ventilation slots, the specification achieves the equivalent of a 12.5mm continuous air-gap at eaves, which exceeds the building regulations' requirement for 10mm continuous eaves ventilation.

Celuform's latest product, shiplap PVC-ue cladding with Celutex 'wood effect', will be trialled on a number of houses over the coming months".

""Celuform takes pride in its products and that's why companies want to use it," says Jeannie Somers, Celuform's Area Representative for eastern England".

""The clean lines, 15 year guarantee and sheer good looks make Celuform roofline and cladding winners every time." Celuform was the first UK manufacturer of PVC-ue building products and today is the largest UK supplier of roofline and cladding systems.
