Paul Neilson, Managing Director of Latium Building Products comments: "Two key proposed developments are intended to have a positive impact on our customers and the sustainability of the entire supply chain.
"The main proposal is the relocation of Celuform's operation to Scunthorpe to take advantage of our state of the art facilities and in house raw material blending.
We are in the process of consultation with those affected and it is important to emphasise that no decision has yet been taken.
Our proposal is to manufacture all Celuform products with Calcium Organic stabilisers using our own blending plant, as we already do with our Kestrel and BCE brands.
"In a separate development which is less significant in terms of scale, but significant in terms of positive news for customers and the environment is that from the end of January, Celuform products will start to be delivered by Latium Logistics instead of the current third party contractor, enabling us to provide a more effective service and ultimately halving our transport carbon footprint.
"We are fortunate that we can call upon the resources and expertise of sister companies.
Having already made the necessary investments in our Scunthorpe facility, we are in a position to pass on the benefits of in-house blending and calcium organic stabilisers to sustain and future proof Celuform, one of the most respected brands in the industry.".
