Coram Showers use Floating Glass Architecture
Coram Showers unveil its latest range of shower enclosure designs which have been created using the company's unique design concept, Floating Glass Architecture.
A revolutionary method of construction, whereby the glass panels appear to 'float' alongside a simple aluminium frame, Floating Glass Architecture (FGA) is used in the manufacture of Coram's newest retail offering, the Acora Continental Collection.
This innovative floating glass effect is achieved with just two components - a striking aluminium frame and sleek, frameless toughened safety glass panels.
These elements are joined via purpose-designed connecting spacers, which separate the glass from the frame and give FGA its distinctive visual appearance.
The precision-engineered cantilever frame system supports the glass panels and ensures a robust, high performance showering space.
"At Coram, we are committed to product innovation, and are always looking at ways to take existing designs to the next level", said Marshall Young, designer at Coram Showers.
"While minimalism is, and will remain, a key trend in the bathroom, when developing FGA, we sought to push the boundaries of simplistic styling and create a truly original product for the UK market.
"Through this innovative method of construction, we have been able to produce a range of showering solutions that provide the ultimate in minimalist styling.
Almost entirely frameless, these designs accentuate the feeling of space in the bathroom, and deliver a practical, easy-clean option for the consumer".
FGA is used in the manufacture of Coram's Acora Continental Collection, which features three enclosures - the Continental Walk-in, Continental Swing Door and the Continental Quadrant - as well as a selection of wet room panels.
Offering complete flexibility, these panels are available on a bespoke basis and may be installed onto a composite wet room floor, a raised wet room former or a large showertray.
