Chubb Fire has launched a new Fire Safety Training and Risk Assessment Solutions prospectus.

Chubb Fire, the UK's leading fire specialist, has launched a new Fire Safety Training and Risk Assessment Solutions prospectus, a document designed to help make life easier for businesses looking to understand their current and future fire safety responsibilities Chubb Fire is part of UTC Fire and Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp

(NYSE:UTX).

The prospectus clarifies the regulatory reforms, and the Fire Safety Order (FSO), which came into effect in 2006, consolidating over 100 pieces of fire legislation.

Since every business has to carry out a fire risk assessment and take a proactive approach to minimise the risk and spread of fire, the document highlights the numerous solutions available to business to meet these requirements.

"Carrying out a Fire Risk Assessment may sound like a daunting task, but just a few simple steps to reduce risks can prevent fires breaking out," explains Suzanne Donovan, Marketing and Communications Director of Chubb Fire.

"Chubb Fire offers various options to help businesses with their risk assessment, ranging from specialist consultancy services to self-assessment tools, and training solutions for organisations both large and small".

"This 12 page colour prospectus offers practical and straightforward advice, including a flowchart to help determine which fire risk assessment option is most appropriate, dependent on the size of company and resources available, as well as levels of fire risk at the site.

"Certain businesses, for example those recognised as being medium to high risk workplaces, might need to draw upon the experience and expertise of the Chubb consultants, all ex-senior ranking fire brigade officers".

"Businesses with low to medium fire risks, however, may prefer to carry out an online risk assessment, guiding them through the fire risk assessment process through a series of simple questions, at their own pace".

The prospectus highlights the wide range of fire training solutions for organisations both large and small, all specially tailored to meet a variety of needs and workplace requirements, and delivered by qualified and experienced professional instructors, using the latest equipment.

Bespoke training, outlined in the prospectus, addresses the particular fire risks of various sectors, including commercial and industrial sites, hotel and leisure facilities, financial organisations and public sector buildings such as schools, hospitals and care homes.

Other training services, including in-house basic fire safety awareness training, fire warden/ marshal training, and a course in the practical use of fire extinguishers are outlined, as well as further training courses recognised by professional bodies, including the Fire Manager Certificate, accredited by the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM), FETA extinguisher servicing training, and a series of seminars independently certified by the Construction CPD Certification Service.

For companies preferring to run their own training courses, Chubb Fire offers a series of easy to follow videos and DVDs, with cost effective bespoke fire safety videos also available.
