Civils focuses on education sector
Civils, civil engineering conference, is teaming up with Learning Spaces Live to offer education stakeholders a knowledge sharing platform dedicated to Building Schools for the Future (BSF).
Industry analyst Glenigan, for the new Learning Spaces Live conference and exhibition, has reported that the value of building projects starts in the education sector has doubled year on year to almost GBP1 billion.
Glenigan found that the government has shifted its focus from refurbishment to providing modern learning environments through the BSF scheme The organisers of BETT, Civils and Interbuild have collaborated to launch two new regional shows dedicated to BSF in London, 25-26 November, and Manchester 1-2 February.
Day 1 will see visitors guided through the preparation of a school transformation programme, while day 2 will comprise the keynote speech by Tim Byles, chief executive of the Partnership for Schools programme, along with case study sessions focusing on the procurement process.
The show will also feature up to 8 seminar areas related to BSF topics.
