Cistermiser introduces upgraded hydraulic flush control valve for effective water management.

Cistermiser's well-known hydraulic, automatic urinal flush control valves have been redesigned to offer improved features and aesthetics, whilst maintaining their market leading ability to make significant savings in water usage and thereby reduce operating costs The valves are now easier to adjust, have an improved appearance due to seated screw heads and less obtrusive labelling and materials of construction have been changed to make the valves more compatible with ultimate recycling

Compared with a standard automatic flushing system, these valves have been shown to reduce water consumption by up to 80% and, with a unique patented mechanism which requires no batteries or electrical connections, they are completely maintenance free.

With a payback period of six months, including installation costs, Cistermiser's hydraulic urinal flush control valves are also tax deductible, due to their inclusion on DEFRA's Water Technologies list and qualification for Enhanced Capital Allowances.

Cistermiser hydraulic valves, which are capable of controlling the flow of water to multiple urinal bowls, avoid the traditional, wasteful drip-feed which constantly fills the cistern, irrespective of the level of demand.

This leads to regular flushing every time the cistern is full, whether or not the urinals have been used.

However, with a Cistermiser hydraulic valve installed on the supply pipe to the cistern, the auto-flush system operates only when the washroom is in use which has the potential to make major lifetime cost savings.

The valve, allowing water into the cistern, is activated by short term pressure drop due to the use of taps or WC's on the same supply system.

When pressure on both sides of the valve is equal again, the valve closes, the cistern is full and the auto siphon will flush.

The installer or the end user can adjust the time the valve remains open, how long the cistern takes to fill and, consequently, how much water is used.

For buildings with washroom facilities which may remain unused for long periods of time, a hygiene flush attachment is available which activates a regular flush every 24 hours to avoid washroom odours.

Cistermiser offers an extensive range of water-saving and allied products, all of which are WRAS approved.

These include the electronic infrared Cistermiser (IRC), the comprehensive Cistermiser Washroom Control (CWC) package, Directflush for urinals without automatic flushing cisterns, and the hands-free Easyflush WC valve.
