Cistermiser launch new range of WRAS approved, hands-free, water-saving washroom equipment.

This new generation of products, employing active infrared technology, has been developed to upgrade and complement Cistermiser's existing, market leading range All competitively priced, the new products include Direct Flush Accessible and Direct Flush Discreet mains flushing urinal valves, the Easyflush WC cistern flushing and filling valve and the Novatap hands-free tap

Direct Flush and Easyflush both qualify for Enhanced Capital Allowances, making their purchase and installation cost fully tax deductible which increases the payback on the investment.

The products' water-saving features make them ideal for use in projects designed with a high BREEAM score in mind.

A number of complementary accessories are also being launched alongside these products, Cistermiser's new Direct Flush Accessible (DFA) and Direct Flush Discreet (DFD) mains flushing urinal valves provide automatic flushing of individual urinal bowls, rather than the more traditional system that uses a cistern which can waste water by flushing all bowls irrespective of use.

These innovative new products replace the earlier EFDF model, and feature active infrared sensor technology for absolute reliability in operation.

They have a sensor located above the urinal bowl which detects the user and flushes the bowl after use and both models are compatible with frame systems.

Direct Flush Accessible features a smart, stainless steel, wall-mounted plate incorporating the sensor and covering the box containing all components.

This may be mounted on the front panel or on the rear wall, whether close to the front panel or further away.

This model is particularly useful where there is no access closet or where the panel is difficult to remove.

The front plate is resistant to tampering as it needs an Allen key to open it.

Direct Flush Discreet has only a small circular sensor plate visible on the wall above the urinal which is particularly unobtrusive and ideal for installations where aesthetics are key.

This model may be used where access to the wall cavity is available for servicing and inspection, as the valve is mounted onto the pipework behind the wall, panel or urinal frame, together with the mains power supply or batteries.

In new installations, Direct Flush Discreet's first fix (valve/power supply) and second fix (sensor) features are a particular advantage.

Packed with features and simple to install and commission, these valves improve washroom hygiene, save water and make a significant saving in lifetime costs.

Both may be mains or battery powered and features unique to Cistermiser include an anti-splash function and both connection options supplied in the product packaging as standard.

To accommodate washrooms with high occupancy, the valve is programmed to arrest the flush should another person be detected in front of the sensor, thus saving water.

A hygiene flush function, activated as standard, ensures that the trap is kept full during long periods of non-use.

Both flush duration and sensor range are programmable, for a customized solution.

Easyflush (EF) is the new generation, hands-free, infrared sensor operated WC cistern combined flush and inlet valve.

Ideal for use in public buildings and facilities for the elderly or less able-bodied, this valve is simple to flush with a single hand movement and completely prevents cross-contamination.

With variable flush volumes and unique features including an integral fill valve and dual flush capability from a single sensor this valve makes a major contribution to water savings.

Battery or mains powered as standard, the valve is mounted within the cistern and the sensor may be mounted on the panel or wall or, alternatively, in the cistern's top button hole or side/front handle hole.

For the latter option, the new accessory Side/Front Adaptor (SFA) angles the Easyflush sensor away from the user to avoid unintended flushing.

The Novatap is a completely new hands-free basin spout from Cistermiser which uses active infrared technology for ultimate hygiene, water and energy efficiency.

Suitable for a cold or mixed water supply, the tap has a scale resistant, flow limiting aerator and may be battery or mains powered with both options supplied as standard.

Again, ideal for avoiding cross-contamination in public buildings, the tap is equally suitable for use by people who find conventional operation difficult.

Novatap allows water flow all the time hands are detected by the sensor located in the pillar and runs on for an adjustable period which is factory set at 2 seconds.

A 12 hour hygiene rinse function is activated to avoid water stagnation.

Battery or mains powered as standard, the Novatap may be configured by remote control using the ICU described below, both features unique to Cistermiser.

Other new accessories include the Infrared Configuration Unit (ICU) for remote configuration of all the above products, which is ideal for use in multiple installations.

This unit also provides a timed Cleaning Mode, disabling the operation of washroom products for ease of cleaning.

In addition, the Multi-Product Power Supply Unit (PSUC) is suitable for supplying low voltage DC power to the hands-free washroom products, with a single fused spur powering up to 20 products.

The unit features a watertight case with easy to seal cable glands and is IP rated to 66.
