Discrimination Act

Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) comes into force from Oct 2004, presenting many important and far-reaching changes in legislation addressing discrimination against disabled people.

It places a duty on all goods, facilities and services providers to remove or alter physical features in their buildings that make access to services impossible or unreasonably difficult for a person with disabilities The Act is applicable to all service providers - there are no exceptions for small businesses
