The CIEF acknowledges the industry already faces significant challenges in relation to productivity, competitiveness, innovation and the delivery of sustainable communities.
But there is a growing belief amongst leading practitioners and the industry's stakeholders that social responsibility will eventually become an integral part of good practice in the delivery of all types of construction.
These workshops will be of interest to public and private sector clients, building owners, project and construction managers, architects and designers, sustainability consultants, community interest groups and planning authorities.
Delegates will be given the opportunity to hear how the principles of social responsibility can be integrated into design and development practices, illustrated by real life case studies from around the UK and from all sorts of projects.
Speakers include representatives from Argent St George, the BBC, Greater Manchester Police, Bristol City Council, Forum for the Future and The Prince's Foundation.
