It is important that practitioners not only have access to the best possible information, but also have the confidence to implement guidance and use SUDS within developments.
Recent consultation exercises have identified a need for further training and expertise for decision makers and practitioners.
In response to this CIRIA, in partnership with Sustainable Drainage Associates, has developed a training programme for 2007 to build on current SUDS guidance and assist with the dissemination and implementation of good practice.
SUDS training modules will take place in London on the following dates:.
* Introduction to SUDS, 16 January 2007.
* Designing for SUDS, 20-21 February 2007.
* Planning and evaluating SUDS, 20 March 2007.
* Maintenance and adoption of SUDS, 21 March 2007.
The training modules are designed for all levels of knowledge from professionals new to SUDS to professionals who have extensive knowledge and experience of sustainable drainage concepts.
The training programme will enable practitioners to efficiently plan, design, construct and manage SUDS schemes within the relevant legal and regulatory framework.
The events will be lead by nationally recognised practitioners that have experience of implementing SUDS in a range of developments.
Interactive course guidance will use a variety of learning styles to engage and inspire delegates and the modules will include a number of demonstrative group exercises and case studies.
Delegates may attend individual modules or a combination.
Each is fully accredited for CIWEM and construction CPD schemes. Request a free brochure from CIRIA ...
