Getting ready for CDM 2007
To help practitioners get to grips with new CDM changes, CIRIA has announced a series of one-day training courses for designers.

These one-day courses will examine the duties of a designer in the light of CDM2007 and will also explain the requirement for consideration of workplace 'in-use' risks.
Challenging issues now facing designers will be discussed and practical examples will be used to illustrate the points being made.
There will be a team exercise to enable designers to apply the knowledge learnt.
Delegates will receive a free copy of CIRIA's updated CDM regulations - construction work sector guidance for designers and the new CDM regulations - workplace in use guidance.
These events will take place on 23 April, 14 May, 5 June and 19 June 2007 in London.
There are also training workshops scheduled for 2007 offering guidance on working with wildlife, environmental good practice on site and CDM2007 for trainers.
