Olympic procurement issues top agenda

The Construction Productivity Network announce that procurement for Olympics will be at the top of the agenda for its programme of summer workshops, in 2007.

The 2012 Olympics presents a unique opportunity to shape London's built environment for years to come Procurement decisions taken now for the huge design and build programme ahead will leave a lasting legacy, from transport infrastructure to residential accommodation and even how London will be judged as a major World city in the 21st century

In short, there has never been a better opportunity to make the right decisions for London's future development and prosperity.

The Construction Productivity Network (CPN) has announced that procurement for the Olympics will be at the top of the agenda for its programme of summer workshops, in 2007.

The CPN will host a workshop, The impact of new procurement methods on the London Olympics and other major projects - In partnership with Construction Industry Council (CIC) and the Construction Industry Environmental Forum (CIEF) - on 4 June 2007, London.

This seminar will be of interest to clients, developers, designers, consultants and contractors who which to learn more about the latest procurement advice and methods and find out about opportunities the Olympics offer.

Other scheduled events in the CPN summer programme include: Are you disappointed with your supply chain? (14 June 2007, London); CPN Summer BBQ (3 July 2007, London) and R and D your way to tax credits (10 July 2007, London).
