The St Ives Flood Defence scheme, undertaken on behalf of the Environment Agency by Halcrow Group and Carillion Civil Engineering, is to receive a Ceequal 'Excellent' Award.
The award will be presented by Jean Venables, ICE president, at the ICE South West Annual Dinner 2009 on 5 June.
The project was assessed as a Whole Project Award and achieved a score of 81.9 per cent in recognition of its environmental performance.
