Dubai Festival City: another major Coopers project

Coopers has been selected to supply a fire and smoke containment barrier systems for Al-Futtaim Group's 'City within a City'.

Following nearly 2 years of close involvement with the project design team lead by international architects HOK, Coopers has been selected to supply a fire and smoke containment barrier systems for Al-Futtaim Group's 'City within a City'.

The selection process for sourcing suppliers to tender for Festival City contracts, involved careful scrutiny of each shortlisted company's relevant expertise within their field.

Coopers' track record of providing leading-edge fire and smoke containment systems to so many other major projects within the region was a key factor in gaining the contract.

Projects such as: the Dubai International Airport (the world's largest smoke containment system), Mall of the Emirates, Dubai International Finance Centre and Dubai Community Centre are already part of Coopers' portfolio in the Middle East.

The Dubai Festival City (DFC) site is located adjacent to the Creek and covers a total area of nearly 450 hectares.

Due to its sheer size it is divided into a number of zones which include shopping facilities, entertainment areas, hotels, residential developments, a golf course, playgrounds, lakes, roads and services.
