CJ Haughey, has started work on a new scheme that will see the completion of the first phase of a GBP214 million transformation to Aston University's campus.

Leading groundwork's and civil engineering contractor, CJ Haughey will be undertaking groundwork's for main contractor, Carillion, who has secured Aston Student Village, the first phase of the scheme.

Phase One, worth GBP57million, will see Carillion build two residential blocks on the south side of the campus, providing 1,300 high-specification, en suite bedrooms.

Phase One will also deliver an all-weather sports pitch, 240 car parking spaces and the relocation of chaplaincy facilities.

As part of the scheme, CJ haughey will be undertaking an GBP2.85 million groundwork's package that includes all groundwork's, reinforced foundation, surfacing, drainage and the creation of sports pitches.
