Clos-o-Mat system installed at exhibition centre
The NEC Birmingham exhibition venue has been fitted with a Clos-o-Mat Palma Vita wash and dry toilet as part of an investment programme to upgrade facilities.
The Clos-o-Mat unit has been installed in the Atrium, home of the Naidex exhibition for the national homecare, rehabilitation and disability market.
Clos-o-Mat Palma Vita wash and dry toilet has been specified to upgrade faciliies at The NEC in Birmingham
The installation means there are now 11 accessible/disabled toilets in the Atrium area alone.
The Clos-o-Mat Palma Vita looks like a conventional WC but features in-built douche and drier.
Pressure on the flush pad simultaneously triggers the flushing and douching process, following by gentle warm air drying.
The unit was the first of its kind developed specifically for disabled people, and is the only one to have WRAS approval enabling connection to the mains water supply.
Since the Clos-o-Mat concept was developed, more than 30,000 units have been installed throughout the UK, with some of the original toilets still being in regular use today more than 30 years after they were first installed.
The Clos-o-Mat is manufactured in the UK, and supported with national inhouse after sales, commissioning, servicing and maintenance.
It also features a range of accessories to enable tailoring the system to precise individual needs.
