Carlo Gavazzi Launches Lift Safety Range
A range of control components designed to improve the safety and reliability of lifts is being introduced by Carlo Gavazzi.
The new range includes sensors, relays and a fieldbus system.
The G8x103394 thermostat module is easily attached into existing 2-wire Dupline installations without the need to run bundles of additional cables back to the central unit.
Powered by the Dupline system, the module is designed to be mounted on internal walls and features 3 channels, 3 inputs/outputs and a temperature range of 0-35 degrees C.
The temperature is set using a dial on the front panel and if it falls below this setting, the module transmits on I/O 1 to the Dupline central unit and stops when the temperature is above the setting.

The central unit can be programmed to compare this information with temperatures in individual rooms, time of day and additional data such as motion sensor responses to determine if the heating system should be activated.
In addition, the thermostat also includes a night set back channel, which automatically lowers the temperature by 4 degrees C.
The module is available for use with a Fuga or Opus socket, models G81103394 and G82103394 respectively.
About Dupline:.
Dupline is a field and installation-bus offering flexible solutions for a wide range of applications in building automation, water distribution, energy management, railway systems and many other areas.
The system is capable of transmitting multiple digital and analogue signals up to 10km without repeaters, via an ordinary 2-wire cable for flexible and cost-effective solutions.
Dupline is typically used as a remote I/O system, creating a link between field devices and a central monitoring controller, which sends out the Dupline carrier signal and coordinates all transmission between input and output modules.
In addition, Dupline can be used as a simple wire replacement system, where signals are transmitted peer-to-peer without involving a controller or intelligent unit.
Dupline's signal transmission is based on a time-division multiplexing principle that provides a more efficient transmission of simple signals.
This has made it possible to run Dupline on a low carrier frequency of 1 kHz, which is the key for features like long-distance transmission, high noise immunity and robustness.
