Iolan SDS device servers enable administrators to securely access remote serial console ports on equipment such as PBX, servers, routers, network storage equipment and security appliances through an IP network.
Sensitive data such as credit card holder information is protected through standard encryption tools such as Secure Shell (SSH) and Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
For serial to Ethernet connectivity applications, the Iolan SDS is the most advanced series of device servers available.
Delivering high performance in a compact size, an Iolan SDS offers extensive security, flexibility and next generation IP technology making it ideal for applications that require remote device/console management, data capture or monitoring.
Available in 1 and 2 port sizes, the Iolan SDS series has the right size for most serial application needs.
Typical of the serial devices which may be connected using an Iolan SDS are card readers, RFID tag readers, barcode readers, medical devices, PLCs, and sensors.
Additionally, Iolan SDS may be used to connect remote console ports, with devices such as PBXs, routers, switches, servers, firewalls, and VPN appliances, to IP networks.
Said Celsum Technologies' Managing Director, Roy Carter, "The Iolan SDS secure device servers are a welcome addition to the range of serial connectivity products that we offer".
"Security of data and of communications is such a worry to all businesses and individuals these days, and these device servers, which are amazingly powerful yet simple to use, go a long way to providing peace of mind for network operators".
