Bilney Care Home provides Independence

A CMAK(UK) product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Feb 12, 2007

Bilney Hall Residential Care Home at East Bilney in Norfolk have fitted CMAK(UK) Independence Showers.

Bilney Hall Residential Care Home at East Bilney in Norfolk is nearing completion and there are seven Independence Showers winging their way to be fitted by Pentaco Construction of Norwich.

The Independence Shower had been seen on the CMAK(UK) website.

After being approached by the architect about availability, The Independence Shower, with half height doors, was the ideal product to be supplied to answer the need of the care home in providing a superb facility to the users and in particular for the carers looking after them.

The half height doors are far more user friendly to the carer and helps fight against back strain problems, but also allows general hygiene to be performed by the individual, who wants their own independence.

The pivotal seat within The Independence Shower, rotating a full 360 degrees gives great versatility and aids the patient in all they need to do.

The seat reaching outside the shower enclosure to receive the wheelchaired person is a great advantage and allows the individual, up to twenty stones in weight, to enter the shower far easier than struggling with walk-in baths and the far more costly wet rooms.

Pentaco Construction will certainly consider The Independence Shower for any suitable projects.

They welcome enquiries from anyone thinking of developing or refurbishing care homes or nursing home accommodation in the future, as well as hotels that wish to meet the Disabled Discrimination Act 2005 rules where for every twenty bedrooms in the hotel, one bedroom should now, by law provide suitable accommodation for the disabled.

There are ten million disabled persons within the UK, which means there are a lot of customers out there looking for somewhere suitable to stay.

Why can't it be your hotel that provides for their Independence?.
