CMS launches Secugrid, a new generation of geogrid
Geotechnical specialist, CMS Limited, has launched to market Secugrid, a new generation of geogrid that can be used to value engineer any existing soil reinforcement specification.
Facilitated by the wide choice of Secugrid products, CMS is able to bespoke design the most cost effective system for any application to achieve the required tensile performance.
Secugrid is ideal for slope stabilisation as its excellent tensile strength and low elongation characteristics make the system effective immediately, with performance levels maintained over time.
Available with a range of tensile strengths 30kN/m up to 400kN/m Secugrid suits all types of soil reinforcement for civil engineering applications, including retaining walls, trench covers and embankments.
Designed to give the contractor peace of mind, Secugrid is BBA and CE certified, and all system designs can be provided with PI cover free of charge.
All designs are carried out in accordance with the British Standards.
From an installation perspective, Secugrid is easy to manage on-site because a comprehensive range of roll dimensions allows the best size to be selected for a project.
This means even the largest of quantities can be installed quickly and with minimal demand on labour resources.
To guarantee an efficient response to changing site programmes or weather-driven requirements, CMS Limited offers next day delivery on all Secugrid products nationwide.
Richard Longbottom, technical director, CMS Limited, comments: Secugrid is a cost effective choice at all levels.
It is competitively priced, quick to install, and offers performance equal or superior to that of any geogrid on the market.
The product is supported by our in-house design team, which is able to provide technical support and advice on any geotechnical challenge.
Manufactured from either polyester (PET) or polypropylene (PP), Secugrid is made of extruded monolithic flat bars with welded rigid junctions.
Its strength is achieved through the interlocking effect of the granular soil into the grid apertures, and the frictional force transfer between the soil and the structured flat bars.
Where a separation geotextile is also required, Secugrid can be supplied pre-bonded to a needle punched non-woven material.
This OECombigrid' allows the complete system to be installed in a single operation, further minimising the labour time required for ground preparation.
Secugrid and Combigrid can be installed during any weather conditions and a simple installation procedure means that specialist trades are not required.
