Alongside the current next day delivery service, the new RDC means orders can now be collected same day or be delivered to site using the companies' own fleet of vehicles.
Matthew Bromley, commercial director for CMS Acoustics and Vibrations, comments: Our service is built on adding value to the solution we provide for the customer, which means the provision of free technical advice, backed up by making sure the right product is available at the right price and importantly, on-site exactly when the customer needs it.
We're committed to a truly nationwide operation, which is why we're replicating the successful northern model of a fully stocked distribution centre, operated by knowledgeable and helpful staff, serviced by our own fleet of vehicles.
This latest investment in southern operations, which includes a dedicated technical team at Wickford, comes following continued expansion through sales partners nationwide.
As well as the expert internal team, the RDC will be the base for a mobile technical sales department, available to provide on-site support and advice on all construction and industrial related noise and vibration projects.
In addition to technical design and product supply, Wickford RDC will also be a base for a southern installation service, which can be provided on all products available through the centre.
