Canal Engineering win RIBA: Ibstock EM
Awards
Nottingham based architectural metalwork firm Canal Engineering were announced winners at the 'RIBA: Ibstock EM Awards 2004 at the ark World Arts Centre in Leicester.
The guest speaker, RIBA President George Ferguson, went on to describe passionately why he supported the nomination of the much publicised 'Gauntlet' exhibition stand - designed in collaboration with the School of Architecture, University of Nottingham, this project represented the outstanding and refreshing combination of uninhibited youthful enthusiasm and years of engineering and manufacturing experience After much success at the Interbuild 2004 exhibition, Birmingham, the prize-winning piece will be on display at other up and coming events such as the Surface Design Show, London - March 2005 and the 100% Design/100% Detail exhibition, London - September 2005
