Comar Architectural Aluminium Systems launch of the latest product in the innovative Comar 5Pi aluminium window range: Comar 5Pi Horizontal Sliding Window With ever increasing demands for energy efficient building materials, Comar 5Pi HSW incorporates the trademarked Pi thermal efficiency providing low U-values with an aesthetically pleasing finish

Pi is a 20mm polyamide strip manufactured from reinforced glass fibre, which separates the inner and outer profiles, creating an extremely effective thermal break as well as providing dual colour profile options.

Comar 5Pi HSW has been developed for applications where an opening vent would cause an obstruction such as windows which lead on to a playground, along ramps for disabled access or, internally, where inward projecting vents may encroach on space.

The sliding window can be restricted at increments to suit the application.

Slim sight-lines, coupled with curved jambs, a polyamide track and rollers that have been tested to over 200,000 open close cycles in wet and sandy conditions ensure that form and function are achieved.

Comar 5Pi HSW is backed up with project-by-project design advice, including NBS clause completion, U-value and wind loading calculations.

Comar have extensive technical manuals, brochures and tooling to ensure the precise fabrication and installation of Comar 5Pi HSW.
